John Thomas is the quintessential volleyball enthusiast. He first fell in love with the game through playing it and then came to love the culture and atmosphere that surrounds the sport. He spent years soaking in every aspect of the game, from theory to strategy; dissecting it in order to understand it more. While no longer actively playing, he is obsessed with watching matches on T.V. and European matches available on the internet. He currently resides in Utah with his wife where they are both completing their educations.
Experience:
John spent nearly a decade playing organized volleyball, most of which was spent in southern California. During that time he gained experience not only as a player but also as a coach. He has experience coaching club, junior high, and numerous volleyball camps. He has had the privilege to play with some of the finest players and coaches in the game, from whom he learned many valuable skills and insights.

Growing up in southern California, I was witness to one of the greatest and largest volleyball cultures around. Upon being exposed to the sport, it quickly became a part of me and has yet to leave me to this day. As your About Guide I hope to share with you some of that love and passion I hold for the game.
